Disclaimer: I am a seventeen year old boy speaking my mind and my beliefs,and definitely my knowledge is limited. I love god, the world, and the people in it.

Ok straight to the point.
im going to discuss on The Moral Law. Existence of God. Other Religions.

Firstly Moral Law.

We can both agree that science has no say in ethics and morality.
right?

Just to expand the part about quarreling and a clearer picture on where i stand on morality.
Quarreling basically means proving that the other person is wrong.
So there would be no sense in saying that the person is wrong if they do not have some sort of agreement of what is right and wrong.
The Moral Law was previously called the Law of Nature as people thought that everyone knew it naturally.
Of course people make mistakes and do not adhere to it a 100%.
Some say that the idea of a moral law is not true to its sense because in different time and different races, the moral law varies.
I disagree, as most moral teachings of the ancient egyptians and babylonians and others have so much similarities in them that it will shock some.

it is the golden RULE

to do good to others like how you want others to do good unto you.

There is a standard in which we all based our actions upon.

That why we find excuses to justify our action to be accordance to the unwritten moral law.

And i believe all races of all time were born into knowing the moral law.

I do believe in empathy and how it has help in us becoming better human beings.
I think there to the moral law in the essences is based on empathy.
Thus I do agree with you on that.

but

The question is since when do we care about others?
Where did this empathy come from?
Were we already so kind as to think of others ahead of ourselves?

here's another question. do u think that our morality has become better or worse as we grow older?
or that our morality is better than others or worse than of others?
the obvious answer i believe is yes.

but as u can see. the moment you say that a set of moral ideas are better than others.
you are in fact measuring them both by a standard.
in conclusion, by comparing morality, you are admitting that there is a Real Right.

There are many differences in morality but there is only one moral law.

To the question what lies behind the law.( if you do believe in the law)
I, being christian would like to talk about God.
and usually when talking about God the topic of the universe will surely arise.

according the the theistic view. God made the universe. so God the is creator.
So with this view in mind the purpose, hypothetically if God is the creator outside the universe, surely he cannot show himself to us as one of the facts inside the universe.
the only way he could show himself to us, is within us (his creation) as an influence or a command trying to get us to behave a certain way and making us feel uncomfortable and responsible when we do something wrong.

if youre with me so far then ill make 3 other points(may or may not be relevant to you).
we all want progress. progress means getting nearer to a place u want to be.If you are on the wrong road, progress means walking back on the right road. the point is i believe humanity has been making some big mistakes, ie: being cruel to one another and so on.
and if that is so, we must go back.

really the only evidence about god is the universe god made and the other is in us or that moral law in which he put in our minds to be specific.

Christianity tells people to repent and promises forgiveness. Until you have realised there is a real moral law, a power behind it and that we have broken that law and have put yourself wrong with that power, it is after this only that christianity really begins to work.

Next point, existence of God.

A lot of our human knowledge is acquired through the process of induction.
Now, obviously, we cannot show that there is a known entity greater or further back than God from which He can be deduced--the very idea is a contradiction because God is the name we give to an ultimate being who is logically required.

He is therefore the necessary cause and source of all things.
So proving the existence of God deductively is impossible.

Equally, proving God does not exist is also impossible.

I am in no doubt: I feel as certain of the existence of God as I am about my own existence.However, my confidence is not based on a scientific experiment in a laboratory or on a brilliantly deduced argument from a philosopher.

My convictions are the result of faith, experience, revelation,conscience, and intuition all play a part.

"not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
While conclusive philosophic "proof" may be forever out of reach, being convinced of God's existence is not.

Other Religions

Salvation in Christ is a gift and that we can’t boast about it as though we are

Christians are to be like one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.

It is this that sets Christianity apart from other religions.

There is no place for boasting since salvation is free.

We receive salvation regardless of our status or merits.

this was taken on the way to KLCC from PWTC.

we decided to walk and we went to a freaking highway that lead to the KLCC carpark.

But

there was another route. a route that required us to leap over a gap, i can only estimate a 20 foot drop to a huge drain.

Kgang as we call it.

It was one of those days where we just enjoyed each others company.

Hell it was definately fun.

half way through my 2 weeks.

Ive been given the absolute liberty to live my life period.

My parents went to the UK about a week ago and left me for myself in the house.

-I absolutely love my dogs.Canaan the german shepherd and Buck the Black half bred labrador.

They are my pride and my joy.

-Its great to have aunties and uncles around you that care for your safety.

Each of their call for concern means alot.

-Friends to be with are vital.

Friends that bring you to CC to relax and unwind (not that im stressed, i think im exactly stressed about me being not stressed)

and friends that bathe the dogs with you although the dog might be as big as them.

Ok. This is one of the greatest question behind the Faith.

Is there a conflict between Science and the Faith?

This is a big question because...there is proof that the christians of yesteryears opposed great philosophers at that time. for example like Galileo.

This is because it is thought by many that modern sceintific study explains everything that was once explained by the belief of god.

another reason is the Great theory of evolution.

that there was a major conflict in the theory and the faith.

ok so here goes.

i disagree that there is a conflict because,

it was the christian worldview that gave birth to science.

because we belief in 1 god and 1 creator.

BELIEF in one god led people to expect that the laws of nature remains the same in time and space.

a universe that was random will not give us a foundation to study SCIENCE.

2ndly, we believe in a rational god. the world was in an orderly fashion and the balance was just right.

scientist rationalised that the universe is orderly and is worthy of investigation because it was the work of an intelligent creator.

some EVIDENCE to back me up

1-Nicholaus Copernicus INVENTED modern astronomy describing the earths rotation around the sun.He said "God is the Best and Most Orderly Workman of all". Yes he is a christian =)

2-Even galileo was a devout Catholic and said

"There are two big books , the book of nature and the book of the supernature, the bible"

3-Perhaps the greatest scientist of all Isaac Newton can answer your question

He believed in the inspiration of the bible and wrote theological as well as scientific books, REGARDING his threological book as more important.Simple fact is ISAAC believed in the bible.

One of the claim posed by the opposers is "Miracles are impossible in the eyes of science"

in jesus' day everyone knew that it was unnatural for a person to rise up from the dead.

if they had no knowledge of the laws of nature, then they would not have regarded that as a miracle.

CSLewis said (u should read his books) "Believing in Miracles , far from depending on an ignorance of the laws of nature, is only possible insofar as those laws are known"

but the real question is that is there GOD? if u believe in a creator and a god then u believe in miracles its as simple as that.

the bible doesnt answer the how or when questions but the why and who?

the bible is not a science textbook.

it does not contain scientific facts.it offers a personal explanation compared to a scientific one. The scientific explanation does not PROVE OR DISPROVE the personal one.

Stephen Hawking the most brilliant scientist even said

If the density of the universe is 1 part of a billion greater 1 sec after the big bang. it would have collapsed.

he continues to ask

how was it that the density of the universe chosen so carefully?

Maybe there is some reason why the universe should have precisely the critical density?

science may solve the problem of how the universe began, but it cannot answer the question

WHY DOES THE UNIVERSE BOTHER TO EXIST?

It is easier to believe that god created something out of nothing than to believe that nothing created something out of nothing.

Science cannot provide a meaning of life.

science cannot deal with the problems of brokeness and hearts broken by grief.

Science has no remedy for unforgiven sin and guilt.

only by the cross there is salvation and the answer to these problems.

We need great people and great scientist, our civilisation owes a great deal to their work.

But more than that we need Christianity and we need Jesus.

you even read my title.

Anyways what i meant was FEAR GOD.

Im sure we wonder about every now and then and we often struggle to realise his existence.

The question is, are we really searching for him or are we just like i said wondering and wandering around?

Searching God is indeed a very profound and personal experience.

Thats why Im not touching on that this time.

What Im trying to convey today, what happens after we've found the big G?

Okay.

Many people base their believe of god with his(or her, lol) performance.

What I mean is like if I prayed to this god and he answered my prayer.

Then he is the true god.

and if he doesnt answer then there must be something wrong with this God and we switch to another God or that we come to a conclusion that there is no god.

Hahaha is sounds pretty funny to me.

It is like going around calling daddy daddy to every person we see just because he gives us our candy.

The thing is Imagine what your real daddy will feel.

Hurt. yes God can feel hurt.

This bring me to my second point.

God HAS emotions and is very much like you and I with a very high standard of morals and is all powerful.

Anyways.

We are created to please him because why would he then create us anyways?

But.If u think deeper, LIFE in itself can be neutralised by DEATH.

If what we do now on this earth is for NOW.

Then Life is meaningless because there is no eternal consequence to what we do.

Pleasure is meaningless.

Suffering is meaningless.

Wealth is meaningless.

Not thinking about the future and only thinking about the now is indeed foolish.

Eternity is a possibility even if you dont believe it.

The idea of eternity, us mortals cant comprehend and concieve out of our brain.

If you say that it is concieved by our mere minds then the question is who conceived our minds or our mothers minds?

All answers lead to these 3 letters. GOD.

Whether you believe in darwins theory or natural selection or whatever bs, there is an underlying question.

HOW THE HECK did this come about?

I repeat it is by our creator.

and to find out our purpose in life.We have to look back towards our creator.

For example.

A toy cant tell itself what its purpose is but only the creator of the toy.

Our human wisdom has a limit.Even if you have newtons brain or whatever.

The limit is death.

All your effort in finding the answers to the questions in life will lead to more questions that are more complex.

And when you die.Selfishly ask yourself

How will your wisdom help you when you rot in the ground?

You might think you have contributed to the world.

That might be true, youve provided temporary solutions.

Well done, but the inevitable is coming.

Im going to go straight to the point.
Abortion or not, we have ignored the utter disregard for life already being lived out on earth.
Is standing up for unborn children enough to negate the disregard for human life already in motion pertaining to the acts of war and sacrifice in Israel or anywhere else?
Misplaced energy seems to be a reoccurring theme in our society as of late.
We've been based on inconsistency and selective conscience on selective topics.
Both the left and right are far off the mark at this point, but a line must be drawn somewhere. Secondly, Humanity is meant to self destruct itself
Arent we born to be children of purpose and hope, yet we are filled with lies and sow destruction at every action.
We have no regard for others, just selfishness on all accounts.
What a waste my life has been, so many days of this .
the only thing bringing any validity is God's grace and purpose.
I feel that if there were some way to tally up my days of purpose against my days of neglect, they would be out numbered 100/1.
We spend our days sneaking and lying through sleepless patches of existence. We are going to hurt and be hurt.
God is the only thing worth living for.
I see this clearly at such random points in life.
I know it's the truth, but only at the most desperate points do I see it so beautifully and clearly. I've given up on this past life, but the future is bright.
We just have to do our best to push through and seek God in all things until it's time to move on. God's mercy on us all.

Im stuck at home, faking to do some work so that my parents think im hardworking.

My dad made a deal with me.
that if he was happy with what i do during the holidays that means WORK WORK WORK.
He will ALLOW me to use MY OWN money to buy a new phone.
I know im pretty spoilt but this for me is outrageous.
If i wasnt so obedient, id have bought my phone already.
It is my savings right.

I dont know.
maybe its good for me.
but the more they lecture me, the more i feel discouraged.
angered in fact.
In my heart i already want to change.
Its just their constant retelling of their own success stories and the never ending comparisons with their friends/colleagues sons/daughters that really gets me steamed.

Seliethia Parker always saw her role as protector for her 7-year-old daughter, Alexis Goggins. But it was Alexis who ended up saving her mother's life by using her little body to shield her mom from a fusillade of bullets.
Doctors told Parker that her heroic little daughter, who was shot six times, would never walk or talk again.

But Alexis has surprised people with her gritty toughness. She's not only walking and talking, she's expected to have a full recovery.

"Everybody's still kind of shocked. This is progressing a little bit more than everybody expected," Parker said on "Good Morning America" today. "They said she should fully recover."

Alexis was shot last December when she and her mother were about to get into a car driven by Parker's female friend. Parker's former boyfriend, 29-year-old Calvin Tillie, jumped out of nearby bushes and forced his way into the car.

They drove for several minutes before Parker's friend was able to pull over to a gas station, under the pretense of needing fuel. There she called Detroit police while Parker and Alexis remained in the car.

Parker pleaded desperately with Tillie not to harm her or her daughter, but to no avail.

"Me and Alexis was left in the car with him at gunpoint and he starting shooting," Parker told GMA.

Fearing for her mother's life, Alexis bolted into the car's front seat, crying out, "Don't hurt my mother."

"Alexis jumped over the seat to try and save my life," Parker said.

Using her tiny body as a shield, Alexis blocked six gunshots from hitting her mother. The bullets pierced her right eye, chin, cheek, chest and jaw. When police arrived to the scene, they found Alexis in a pool of blood, curled beneath the steering wheel.

Parker also had been shot in the side of the head and the arm.

Both Parker and her daughter survived, though Alexis endured two painful months in the hospital and underwent six surgeries. Despite doctors' prediction that Alexis may never walk or talk again, Alexis is thriving.

Alexis said she doesn't consider herself a hero and said she wasn't scared during the event.

"I saved my mom," she said and added she loved her mother a lot and didn't want to see her get hurt.

Parker has endless gratitude for her selfless daughter.

"She's my angel and I love her to death," she said.

The man who allegedly attacked the pair is charged with two counts of assault with intent to commit murder. Tillie, a former convict on parole, also was charged with other offenses.

So...for the record.
MID TERM SUCKED.

Observations : -
1) Ive been ranting alot.I mean ALOT.with the quotes and all.
2) Time passes very VERY slowly during exams.Every freaking minute feels like hours.
3) Im as careless as a cow.

well i was quite prepared.(or so i thought)
This has been a subject which i feel obligated to ATLEAST pass.
It was BK. and that fact just made the whole damn thing turn bad to worse.
LIKE IT WASNT BAD ENOUGH.

so i did the paper when a few doubts and there.Half expecting already more than 10 mistakes.
FUNNY THING happen. EVERYBODY and i mean everybody was taking HOURS to do their paper but i only took 1/2 ?
so i was thinking (not out loud) : WOW! i must be really fast. ha-ha-ha look at khai shing strugglin to finish his paper.
this must be MY paper.

So as i came out from the CHAPEL.( the irony is clear.dont mention it ). I was feeling pretty confident and even saying to jon: I think i might nick an A.
and i checked through my bk book.It was pretty awesome.I looked through my ONLY essay question and was CONFIDENT.
but it all was lost in the matter of seconds.
So i asked jon which one he did.
and he said this,this,this and this.

REALITY hadnt set in yet.
my brain was in shock literally.
i paused.thought through it.and let it settle in.
my heart SANK immediately.
i admit i was SWEARING my ass off. CHAPEL.

THIS WAS WHAT I REMEMBERED~
(on the question paper, there was 5 questions ESSAY.60marks.)
"Write any *of the* FOUR of the questions."

THIS WAS WHAT IT WAS REALLY~
"Write any FOUR of the questions."

get it?

YES I DID. OOOOONNNNNLLLLLYYYYY OOOONNNNEEEE.
so *POOF* just like that.45 marks blown into smithereens.
the experience was heart wrenching.i was ABSOLUTELY devastated.
the point which u cant get any lower.
